Concepts in hair removal for men reveal that there are more and more varieties and kinds of hair removal techniques than existed even just a few years ago. And while such removal was previously thought of as being exclusive to women only — who were always looking for better ways of getting rid of hair from certain areas — it seems that men are beginning to join in on the removal of hair from the body with equal enthusiasm
Men today, in increasing numbers, are examining ways to have hair eliminated from just about as many areas on the body as women have traditionally wanted to have treated. Even when men are not bicyclists, swimmers or bodybuilders, they are readily getting in line and paying money for treatments that have as their goal the creation of smooth skin on parts of the body not usually considered places where smooth skin normally existed.
Typically, men do not usually want to have all of the hair on their bodies removed. Rather, they generally tend to want the hair severely reduced or thinned out, especially on their backs or on their chests. This is a change in cultural attitude when it comes to men and chest or back hair, for the most part. Many hair removal specialists are reporting that men are lining up in greater numbers than women, as a matter of fact.
As far as other body areas, salons and parlors are reporting that men are looking to have hair removal performed in places like the eyebrows, where waxing can work to eliminate the so-called “unibrow” and add a bit of shaping to a part of the face (the eyebrows) that can threaten to give a man a bushy-browed appearance.
Eyebrows also aren’t the only places that are beginning to attract attention from men. They are also demonstrating that they’re eager to have hair growing wildly around the ears or the back of the neck reduced or eliminated entirely. More of a shock, men are also looking — like women — at the bikini area as far as being a prime hair removal spot.
Men are still relative rookies, though, when it comes to knowing and appreciating hair removal. Many women — by their teens — have received all of the knowledge that has been handed down through the ages from woman to woman and mother to daughter, it almost seems like. Men appear to have much catching up to do, at least in this aspect of body and skin care.
Depending on the technique, and there are several of them, hair removal can run a man as much as $500 for a single session. Generally, waxing is the old standby though new laser technologies have come onto the market in recent years. These new lasers hold out the promise of permanent hair elimination if done correctly, which is something that is attracting many men to the technique.
