Always Stay Fresh!

March 7th, 2010

When I walk around the street, I notice many people have their makeup on. Unfortunately, it seems that not many of them know the importance of re-application of makeup. As ladies’ makeup get dissolved by their facial sebum, their makeup no long makes them look pretty. It is a must to learn how to re-apply makeup if you really want to master your makeup skills.

Usually, the air conditioning in the office room can make your face dry. When the face is dry, the face makeup is not going to be long lasting. You can always refresh your face with the mist spray. Place a tissue paper onto your face, then spray the mist over your face. Wait until you feel that the mist has been absorbed. Then use oil blotting paper to press gently on your face at some heavy oil areas.

When there is so much oil that you need to re-apply the makeup, you can use a slightly wet sponge together with foundation powder. Gently press onto your forehead, chin and nose. You should also pay attention to areas like around the mouth and hairline. One tip for re-applying powder is to gently re-apply more often instead of re-applying a thick layer.

Do not stop at re-application of foundation. If you just re-apply your foundation, you are going to look pale. What you need is too more steps. One is rouge and one is lipstick. Apply a little bit of rouge onto your cheek and smudge upward to the side of forehead. Apply lip stick or lip gloss to make you look refreshed and natural.

Other than just re-applying the foundation powder, you can try an even more moisturizing method. Add a little bit foundation powder into your moisturizer. Then perform the above re-application steps with a sponge. You will feel that your skin moistens up. This helps brighten up your skin and make your makeup more long lasting. This method can also be specifically applied to T zone.

Sometimes, you may find your eye makeup being dissolved by your eye sebum. You may look like a panda for the dissolving eyeliner or eye shadow. You can clean up the dissolved eyeliner with cotton bud and water or moisturizer in a rolling action. Re-apply the eye shadow. You can use a little bit water to wet your eye shadow brush. Then re-apply your eyeliner with the eye shadow brush. Then smudge a bit the eyeliner to your eye lid.

That is how you can turn your oily makeup face back into a fresh and clean matt look. Oily skin is the fundamental cause for non-long lasting makeup. For those of you are having oily skin, you must be more hard working to re-apply your makeup.

Is Your Circulation Limiting Your Weight Loss?

February 28th, 2010

Breaking down a fat cell does not mean that it will be oxidized. In fact, fat cells are never burned in the exact same location where they are broken down.

Thus, fat cells have to travel a distance before they can be burned away to oblivion. As a result, having better circulation will translate into more fat cell death.

So, without further ado, here is how to make your circulatory system more powerful so that you can lose more weight:

1. Stress your heart: But stress it in a good way with some cardio. Now please don’t think you have to go out and run a marathon because this can actually cause more damage than good. Instead, opt for small sessions of high intensity cardio spread throughout your week.

2. Track progress: You should consider tracking the progress you make with regards to blood flow. Blood cholesterol levels and heart rate are two great parameters to begin tracking. Both indicate how healthy your blood flows throughout your body.

3. Don’t let negative emotions overtake you: It’s impossible to eliminate all stress in life, but you can definitely learn how to manage your current stress like a pro. So make sure you have some type of management system. You could talk to someone, meditate or practice cognitive therapy.

4. Eat for better circulation: Food has a major impact on how well you can circulate blood. So stay away from sugar, saturated fat and trans fat. And eat more nuts, olive oil, wild fish and flavonoids. My favorite source of flavonoids is loose leaf green tea. Now please do not underestimate the power of food here.

5. Get more restful sleep: The key here is that the sleep has to be restful. You see, you can be in bed for 8 hours and still be dead tired the next day. So make sure you get restful sleep or else your arteries and heart will prematurely age, thus decreasing circulation.

Better circulation is not only necessary for a long and healthy life, but also for maximum fat burning. So start acting on these tips today and don’t wait until tomorrow. After all, tomorrow usually never comes!

What You Need To Know About Dietary Supplements

February 27th, 2010

More than 50% of people in the US take dietary supplements to enhance an aspect of their health. Maybe you take supplements on a regular basis…

After all, the American public spends billions and billions of dollars each year on a wide array of pills and powders.

The main issue here, however, is that lot of these supplements are sold with downright deceptive advertising, and in extreme cases, can cause serious health issues.

So here are common misconceptions you need to know about dietary supplements:

1. Dietary supplements are 100% safe: Absolutes don’t exist and supplements are no exception here. In fact, just because a supplement is natural is no guarantee that it’s completely safe. The reality is that many things exist in nature that are deadly.

2. Supplements are backed by scientific studies: Only prescription drugs need FDA approval. Dietary supplements, on the other hand, do NOT require rigorous FDA testing. Even worse, many of the bar charts and study references found on the packaging are simply ghost studies performed by the manufacturers themselves.

3. Supplement manufacturers are acting in our best interest: The bottom line is that millions and millions of dollars are spent on advertising to get you to buy. And the reality is that when so much money is involved, things can get a little out of control. Ephedra is a perfect example here. So please do not be swayed by the sexy advertising.

4. Word of mouth is reliable: Word of mouth is definitely convincing, but it should not be taken as the end all be all to a supplements efficacy. You see, the placebo effect is extremely strong. In fact, if you gave a sugar pill to 100 people, 40 would claim a noticeable difference!

I recommend staying on the safe side here. And the best way to do this is to only take supplements that have undergone peer reviewed research. You see, peer reviewed research is the closest we can get to the truth. And with the truth you will be better informed as to what decisions are right for your health.

How to Find the Best Core Stability Exercises

February 20th, 2010

Targeted abdominal exercises are only a subset of core stability exercises. People have this confusion because they see that “6-pack ABS” represent fitness and attractiveness in today’s world.

Choosing the right core stability exercises for your goals involves a larger set of target muscles and can be helpful in gaining and maintaining general fitness as well as boost athletic performance and even help eliminate back pain

Generally what does the word “core” mean? Core stability exercises help strengthen all the muscles that make up the torso of your body. Stronger torso provide more support for natural day-to-day body movements and help prevent back and neck injuries from repetitively performing these day-to-day movements.

A strong torso also builds the base support for powerful arm and leg movements and thereby reinforces athletic performance in almost any discipline. From swimming to track and field to athletic team sports – true athletic performance is almost unthinkable without solid core stability and strength.

How do you build and maintain core stability?

For best resuts, you should perform a variation of exercises. Some exercises like push-ups and crunches can be done without help from any equipments. When using equipment aid, try anything with light resistance as these are more effective. Some light exercise aids include dumbbells, medicine balls, stability bass, and balance balls.

Larger equipments aids such as bench press, parallel bar dips, and other weight lifting machines can also be used for core stability exercises, but these may add too much bulk. Make sure to not do too many of these bulk-building exercises if bulk is not what you desire.

Hiring a personal trainer can help take the guess work out of developing core muscles as they are a complicated muscle group. Each muscle group that make up core muscles should be targeted a certain way, so best results will come from listening to an experienced trainer.

Grow Hair back With Provillus For Women

February 8th, 2010

According to research, there is as many as 25 percent of women who will suffer from hair loss and thinning hair throughout their lives. There are many products that claim to be able to treat the condition, though few are as popular as Provillus for women. Here, there is a quick guide as to how it could help.

This treatment is said to work in two ways. Step one aims to stop hair loss in its path, whilst step two aims to promote the regeneration of hair that has already stopped growing. In the best possible case, it is thought it can return hair to its former glory.

It is now recognized by science that dihydrotestosterone, or DHT, a hormone, promotes hair loss in women. There are other causes, but this is the main protagonist under studies. If production of the hormone can be stopped, so should the hair loss itself.

With Provillus, the production is halted using an oral supplement with active ingredients including biotin, magnesium and vitamin B6. This all natural supplement is blended together to essentially stop the condition from taking hold.

Hair growth stops because of a lack of blood supply to the follicles, thus depriving them of valuable nutrients. Using the topical application of minoxidil based solution, blood flow is increased and growth stimulated. A proven formula, endorsed by the FDA, it has performed well when tested.

Hair loss for women can be a devastating affliction, but our understanding of it is building all the time. As such, treatments are getting better and though it may not be successful for all, and results experienced will vary from individual to individual, Provillus for women is certainly worth a try. It is advisable to check with your physician before starting any course of treatment however.

If you want to know more about how Provillus for women can help you, watch these Provillus for Women Videos.

Stop worrying about your hair. Grow it back with Provillus for women.

Preventing Bodily Harm With Good Home Tanning Customs

February 1st, 2010

Home tanning bed systems are much like the ones you would find in tanning salons. The difference is that it is much easier to cause bodily injury to yourself with a home tanning salon, as you are likely going to be alone and more likely to make mistakes in safety measures.

Most tanning bed salons will make sure that you have goggles rented or your own with you before they let you enter the tanning room. This is a rule that is mandatory, as it will protect your eyes from receiving serious damage from the UV rays. Having your own tanning bed, you might be more lax on wearing them- but at all costs, remember to do so to save your eye health.

There has been recent news that UVA rays used in tanning beds are more harmful than UVB rays. This has yet to be proved through long term studies. While UVB rays have less noticed damage on the surface, the rays penetrate the deep tissue of the skin and could still cause deep damage. Until more studies come out, it’s best to use both UV types sparingly.

Even a small burn can cause damage to your skin when using a tanning bed. The absolute worst thing to do when tanning is to fall asleep under the lamps. If this happens, you will likely get what is referred to as sun poisoning. This is horrible for your skin and can result in serious side effects. Limit chances by always employing alarm-based systems.

Some types of medications are dangerous if you go tanning often. A certain prescription can influence the way your skin sheds, which can lead to severe burns even with normal sunlight exposure. Always ask a doctor and consult your prescription when planning on tanning. Medications that commonly have this warning are prescribed by dermatologist, but it’s safe to always ask whenever you are given a new medication.

After each session with your own tanning bed, put on lotion to moisturize your body. Lotion that contains Aloe Vera is best, since it helps heal any damaged skin as soon as it is applied. Moisturizer will hydrate your skin so that any dead skin is quickly shed, leaving your new layer of skin shiny and pleasant. When first trying out lotions, use a small amount to see if irritation occurs before applying it.

Closing Comments

Shop around for your next tanning bed- pay special attention to the lamps that you are buying. Lamps are the “backbone” to the tanning bed, and if they aren’t of quality, you might as well throw your money away at the tanning salon! Consult Internet retailers for pricing information.

Hair Removal Methods

January 23rd, 2010

There are a couple of things to consider before getting laser hair removal cost treatments. One of the firsts is weather or not you are an idea candidate. One of the most important wants is that the hair to be removed must be darker than the encircling skin. The process generally doesn’t work on people with blond or red hair, or people with light hair and bronzed skin. People who have dark hair, but have tans should wait until the tan has faded to get the best results. How the process works is the reason why the hair must be so much darker than the skin. Blonde, red, and light brown hair which has shades of blond or red sometimes contains a pigment called pheomelanin, which does not absorb laser energy as well as the pigment, called eumelanin, that is present in black or brown hair. Also, fair skin does not absorb the laser light extraordinarily simply, so more of the light goes into the hair follicle, causing the treatment to work better, and faster. Laser hair removal can be done on folk with light hair, or dark skin, but the process is longer, more difficult, and the results aren’t guaranteed.

Another thing to think about is the pricetag. Laser hair removal takes many sessions to have successful long-term results. Customarily four sessions are advocated to start with, and may cost from $500-$1000 a session. The size of the area to be treated also is affecting the cost. Large areas, like legs, cost more, while small areas, like upper lips, might be a little less. As the process of laser hair removing needs to be individualized for each patient, a consultation is the sole way to grasp if you can afford it.

Knowing who to get treatments from is critical too. An inexperienced or unqualified person could finish up doing more harm than help. Requirements for laser hair removing vary by state. Most states are very stern though, requiring the process only be done by a medical doctor, registered nurse, or nurse consultant. Remember that this is a medical procedure, and should be treated as such, so electrologists, spa staff, or even a medical assistant should not be performing this process on you. Some places to steer clear of are those that offer rebates guarantees, or do not appear professional, medical, or give you any uneasy feelings. There is no way to promise results with laser hair removing, so those conglomerates offering a warranty are offering the not possible. Also, a good medical center should have a great reputation to sell themselves, not a reduction to reel you in. Be tired, your skin is your most valuable, and crucial organ.

All of these laser hair removal techniques can be handy while dealing with unwanted hair. Some of these methods go on longer than others, but none provide permanent hair removal. Complications from laser hair removal include darkening of the skin ( hyperpigmentation ) is generally a short lived condition, but in rare instances, is long lasting or permanent. Lightening of the skin ( hypopigmentation ) is of special concern with folks who have darker skin. Hair changes is also complication of laser hair removing.

Another factor to consider is excess consumption of beta-carotene. This important nutrient is found in carrots, squish, and some dietary additions, and is important for great eye and immune response health. Unfortunately, consuming large amounts of beta-carotene can set off a yellow or orange transient tint to the skin, absorbing the laser light. Since beta-carotene can stay in the skin for months after eating it, just like a tan, it’ll take quite some time to fade before you can get good laser hair removing results. Another thing that might impede your results is the thickness of your hair. Coarse hair gets the best results, and fine hair is very troublesome to remove. Even if the fine hair is dark, it could take longer to get perfect results. When you have begun to get your laser hair removal treatments, it is important to keep an eye out for negative reactions.Temporary changes in the pigment of your skin, either light, or dark, are harmless, and will go away with time. Folk with darker or tanned skin are way more susceptible to changes in pigment than fair skinned folks.

Ultimate Spa And Beauty Treatments

January 16th, 2010

Spas are places that have been around for centuries as centers for beauty and health. Spa and beauty treatments just keep growing in technique and popularity. People used to think they were so refreshed from spas because of the high quality of water there. Mostly it is the relaxation quality that made people feel better and therefore look better. As years went on people began to realize that taking the time to pamper themselves was what they needed and what spas provided.

Everyone needs some time to relax and get away from the troubles of life. But spas offer more. There are tons of beauty treatments available with certified technicians who can help treat you to a day or two of luxury. A massage is an essential place to start. You carry a lot of tension from your hectic life in your muscles. This can develop into hard, uncomfortable knots. Massages can be on any and every place on your body–wherever the tension is. People tend to feel amazing and even have the ‘good’ kind of hurt after they have massages.

While you are at a spa, take advantage of facials. You can prevent much damage by having a good skin care regimen at home, but only at spas can you get the full benefit of hard core skin care. There are certain techniques, equipment, and lotions that are simply too time-consuming or expensive for you to do at home. You can have skin steams, extractions, exfoliation, masks, peels, and creams.

You can get your hair done professionally, in addition to other beauty treats. Manicures and pedicures take care of little tended-to parts. You can also get a lot of waxing or other hair removal done there.

Mud baths are cures for arthritis. They relieve many stresses on the body. This is another thing good for the skin. Sometimes peat from bogs is also used, but this tends to be a more cosmetic pursuit. Mud wraps can be a very interesting highlight for visitors. It is a weird sensation to be completely covered and it tingles when it dries. This leads to immense relief when the mud is wiped off.

Steam is a leading tool, and one that most people cannot really control in their houses. This is why people need to go to spas–for the saunas and steam baths. They detoxify you through making you sweat. In this way you can make you lose weight and make you feel healthier. Steam baths are a natural part of these spas, since most spas were centered around natural hot springs.

Trips to spas last a long time, too. This is mostly because they can get you into good habits. You can learn exercises like yoga. You can also plan your diet well with certified nutritionists and find plans that help you reach target weights or healthy living goals.

How To Burn More Calories To Burn Those Flabby Arms Away

January 11th, 2010

If you can master your metabolism, your flabby arm nightmare will go away. Increasing your metabolism is the most efficient way of eliminating the arm jiggle.

What is your metabolism? It’s the amount of calories your body burns from day to day for biological functions.

So a faster metabolism translates into more calories burned, even while you sleep. Thus, increasing your metabolism is a great way to enhance arm fat burning around the clock.

Here are 4 tips so that you can win you flabby arm fight:

1. Drink tea in loose leaf form. Bagged tea just doesn’t compare to loose leaf tea. The latter is far superior in all aspects, especially when it comes to increasing your metabolism. I personally drink loose leaf green tea with breakfast without falter. Dragonwell tea has been the best source I’ve ever found.

2. Get deep and restful sleep every night. You are going to need 7 hours at a bare minimum. Fall short here, and you won’t be able to process carbohydrates very well and you won’t build as much muscle. And muscle is the absolute best way to increase your metabolism.

3. Have caffeine pills. Disclaimer: caffeine pills aren’t for everybody. I personally hate them. However, some of my colleagues can take them all day and never break a sweat. The key here is to start with the lowest dose possible and gradually work your way up. These are definitely optional.

4. Consume spicy food. You will not get a huge metabolic increase from this, but you will see an increase nonetheless. Eating spices and hot food on a regular basis will increase your metabolism. And they are full of nutrients too.

Alright, you are getting closer to becoming a flabby arm metabolic master. Make sure to take action on this information now and not tomorrow because tomorrow usually never comes. Do this and you will be well on your way to sexy arm stardom. Time to start dusting off all those sexy sleeveless tops!
